fully electric Range Rover offroading in icy conditions

Electric Range Rover

Not much is known about the electric Range Rover yet, but order books opened in early summer and excitement is already building. The first prototypes are currently undergoing rigorous testing in extreme conditions in the Arctic Circle's -40°C freezing temperatures and the searing 50°C deserts in the Middle East. Land Rover is committed to delivering unmatched performance in any climate with its new electric Range Rover.

JLR has been proudly displaying the prototypes, which look, well, exactly like other Range Rover flagship models in the line up, maintaining the modernist design language that stays true to the Range Rover bloodline. This is great news for buyers who were worried the new EV Range Rover will look 'too much like an electric car'. The electric model will feature the same level of luxury and refinement, along with near-silent fully electric propulsion for smooth, relaxed journeys.

The new traction control system offers lightning-fast responses. The system can react in just 1 millisecond by managing wheel slip at each electric drive control unit. This incredible precision, coupled with advanced innovative JLR software means that the electric Range Rover will handle all terrain and weather conditions with ease

Produced in Solihull alongside existing hybrid variants, the first electric Range Rover will use batteries from a third-party supplier, with production set to switch to the new Somerset gigafactory in 2026. The Range Rover EV is set to offer performance comparable to existing V8 models, without the high taxes and running costs associated with this level of performance. With over 16,000 buyers already on the waiting list, we suggest you register your interest soon so you don't miss out on importing your brand-new electric Range Rover.

blue Volkswagen ID Buzz 7 seater

Volkswagen ID Buzz LWB (7-seater)

Volkswagen has announced the highly anticipated three-row ID Buzz LWB in Huntington Beach, California. Paying homage to the iconic Volkswagen Microbus, this fully electric MPV combines retro design cues with cutting-edge EV technology and advanced driver assistance features. The first 7-seater VW ID Buzz vans will arrive in Europe and the UK sometime in late 2024, and the unique mix of nostalgia and modern innovation will surely attract many buyers.

The three-row ID Buzz boasts a longer wheelbase than its two-row counterpart, providing more interior space, a bigger battery and increased horsepower. Its exterior design retains the traditionally boxy shape with short overhangs, maximising utility on a minimal footprint.

Performance-wise, the ID Buzz LWB features a rear-mounted electric motor producing 282 horsepower, a significant increase from the two-row model's 201 hp. The larger 91 kWh battery improves efficiency and extends the range to at least 285 miles. For those seeking more power, an all-wheel-drive variant will be available at launch, boasting 330 hp and dual motors. It's also quick: the new APP550 rear-mounted motor allows the ID Buzz to reach a top speed of 99 mph.

Inside, the ID Buzz LWB offers seating for up to seven passengers, with three distinct interior colour and trim choices. The interior design features retro-inspired elements, such as the wood-optic dashboard, Play and Pause Pedals, and other 'Buzz easter eggs.' Comfort is a priority, with 12-way power driver and passenger seats that include ventilation, massage and memory functions. Ambient lighting with 30 colour options and a panoramic glass sunroof with electrochromic tinting further enhance the cabin's appeal.
